Peptide Formulation

At Legacy, we recognize that peptides can present unique formulation challenges as well as opportunities, based on their widely ranging physicochemical attributes. As a result, peptides can be more difficult to formulate than globular proteins, as discussed in our publications listed below.

  • Payne and Manning, Innov. Pharm Technol., Spring 2009, 28: 64-68

  • Ohtake et al., Protein Pept. Lett. 2013, 20: 1308-1323

In practice, Legacy has formulated numerous peptides intended for both parenteral and non-parenteral routes of administration, including nasal, pulmonary, topical, and oral delivery.
